Assign items in your Dext Prepare account to your QuickBooks Online projects.
Your QuickBooks Online projects can be assigned to an item in Dext Prepare via the Customer list, where they are classified as a ‘sub-customer’.
Assign an item to a project in Dext Prepare from the item details page.
You can distinguish a project in the customer list by the tooltip identifying sub customer records in the drop down list.
Assigning an Item to a Project
To assign an item to a project in Dext Prepare from the item details page.
To do this:
- Go to the Costs or SalesInbox and select the item.
- Go to Customer and in the drop down list select the sub-customer option that represents your project. Sub-customer items will be marked by a tooltip icon.
When the item is ready it can be published as normal and the item will be associated with the selected project in QBO.
