If you’re not using the additional integration with QuickBooks Online, then you will need to change the type of item to Credit Note/Refund and the publishing destination to Vendor/Credit.

If you have dual integration with Bill.com and QuickBooks Online, then it might be better to publish the credit note to QuickBooks Online, using this workflow .
