Zapier is a tool used to connect softwares together.
Set up Zapier with Dext Prepare, and automate processes with the other apps you use.
To set up a Zapier connection, you’ll need:
- A Dext Prepare account
- A Zapier account
- An account on the software you’d like to connect Dext Prepare to
Set up connections on the Zapier app by specifying what action you’d like to take place and which event triggers it. You can find more details on how to set up a Zap here.

To set up a Zapier connection with Dext Prepare:
- Log in to Zapier.
- Click ‘Make a Zap!’
- Specify which app and event you’d like as the Trigger (the event that causes the Zap to start)
- Click ‘Continue’. You’ll be asked to confirm your login details for that app.
- Click ‘Continue’. Complete any information that Zapier needs to successfully read information from a specific file or folder in that app.
- Test your connection to confirm that Zapier is set up correctly.
- Specify which app and event you’d like as the Action (the event happens as a result of the Zap)
- Click ‘Continue’. You’ll be asked to confirm your login details for that app.
- Click ‘Continue’. Complete any information that Zapier needs to successfully read information from a specific file or folder in that app.
- Test your connection to confirm that Zapier is set up correctly.
- Depending on the Trigger and Action you selected, you may be asked to confirm more details about what data is being read and how it should be presented.
- Click ‘Send Test’ to check that your Zap is working correctly.
- Name your Zap and turn it on.
