If you have a multicurrency Xero account, you can choose whether to publish items in your account’s Base Currency or in the currency that the transaction took place in.
Note: this feature is only available for Streamline, Optimize, Business Plus, and Premium Dext Prepare accounts. Find out more about the different Dext Prepare products here.
To activate multi-currency publishing:
- Click on Connections on the main menu tab to the left
- Click on Integration
- Turn the Publish multiple currencies setting switch to ON.
If this setting is turned to OFF, Dext Prepare will convert each transaction into your account’s Base Currency before publishing it to Xero.
You can view and change the Base Currency of an account by going to My profile, then Account Details and selecting the Base currency.
