Client Visibility

Determine who in your team can view a particular client’s data.


What you need to know:

  • Team owners and Admins can see all clients, regardless of Client Visibility settings in Precision.
  • If you have any issues with visibility for clients you will need to speak to your Team Owner or Admin to help. As a Team Member you will only be able to see the clients you have been set visibility for.

Setting Team Client Visibility

There are 2 places in the product you can set visibility for clients.

  1. Go to Team Home – Configuration – Client Configuration – this is our bulk configuration setting and our recommended option. This is because you can see all clients in one area that you can quickly make the changes.
  2. Go to your Client Overview – Configuration – Visibility – this view is by client.

Client Visibility Options

There are 2 options to set team visibility for your Xero or QuickBooks Online Clients:

  • Whole Team: everyone on your Precision team can view this client’s data.
  • Specific Users Only: only the users in Precision you have selected to view this client will be able to view the data.

Next Steps:

Have you set up your Account Managers yet for your clients? If your team manages many clients, you’ll likely have a concept in your team structure where certain people look after certain clients. In Precision, we refer to these people as Account Managers. They may be different from the people you assign Workflows to who we refer to as Assignees. Account Managers tend to be set as Reviewers on Workflow Templates. Therefore for Workflows you can have up to 2 Reviewers so you can set up 2 Account Managers for each client.
