If you have an account with QuickBooks Online or Xero, you can integrate it with your accounting software and manage the connection using the mobile app.
Note: You’ll need to have Admin level access in order to connect and manage the connection.
To connect your accounting software:
- Log into the Mobile App.
- Click Settings in the bottom right corner.
- Click Integrations and select your accounting software.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to log in and connect your accounting software.
- Once the connection has been made, you’ll see a pop-up confirming this.



Once connected, we’ll check every 48 hours for any updated information and sync these to Dext Prepare.
You may wish to refresh your integration to speed up this process, especially after creating new categories or adding new clients to your chart of accounts.
To do this you’ll need to:
- Click Settings in the bottom right corner.
- Click Integrations and then Refresh integration data.

The connection between Dext and your accounting software will expire once a year.
You’ll receive a publishing error when this happens, and you’ll need to re-connect the integration to continue publishing items.
To do this, you’ll need to:
- Click Settings in the bottom right corner.
- Click Integrations and then Reconnect

Note: If you’d like to update the integration settings, you’ll need to use the web app.
Warn me when creating a new supplier
If your integrated accounting software supports it, you can turn this toggle on to be warned when you’re about to create a new supplier.

When this setting is on, if the supplier is not already in your accounting software, you’ll see an ! icon next to the supplier name on the Item Details screen.

When you click the ! icon, the supplier presence message will appear and you can choose to proceed and create a new supplier or select an existing supplier from the list provided.
