How to use Bill.com Approvers in Dext Prepare

In Bill.com, you can appoint specific staff members to approve different bills and items.

Dext Prepare pulls these across from Bill.com when integrated, you can find this list by going to Sales > Customers.

If you’ve enabled Bill.com as an additional integration, hover over the clip icon next to the customer name to see whether the customer/approver is linked to Bill.com or if it’s a customer only present in the main integration.

To assign a specific approver in Dext Prepare:

  1. Navigate to a specific item in the Sales Inbox
  2. Search for the correct approver from the ‘Customer’ field

(Note that this is the initial approver and will not trigger any Bill.com workflows)

If happy with the item, click ‘Publish’ as normal

In Bill.com, the bill will appear as normal, flagged with the specified approver.

If you have additional integrations enabled, make sure you have selected Bill.com as the publishing location.
