Using Dext Prepare’s Email Trail

With Dext’s ‘Original Email Trail’ you can effortlessly access the original email associated with the documents submitted to Dext Prepare’s Costs and Sales spaces, making expense and income categorisation more precise.


How Does it Work?

  1. Submit a document to Dext Prepare using the email-in submission method.
  2. The document will then be forwarded to your Costs or Salesinbox in Prepare.
  3. Navigate to the Costs or Sales workspace and locate the submitted document.
  4. Select the document, and you’ll be taken to the item detail page.
  5. On the right side of the page, you will now see a new tab called ‘Email‘.
  6. Select the Email tab to view the original email used to send that document in Prepare. This will display all the necessary data, including the subject, date, sender and recipient information, and the body of the email.

Please note that the Original Email Trail feature will only be applicable to documents submitted moving forward and will not work for existing documents submitted to Prepare before this update
