When you submit a receipt, invoice or other piece of financial paperwork, Dext will analyse the current document and previous documents to assign an appropriate category.
When Autocategorisation is on, the tool will use machine learning to extract a category based on the way you previously categorised similar items in your account. If there is a supplier rule in place then we’ll only suggest a category.
You can turn ON this autocategorisation by navigating to Businesssettings, then Automation and turning the toggle to Yes.
You can easily see if an item has been autocategorised, by going to the Inbox and hovering over the category listed.
