Practice Essentials gives your practice access to all core Dext features — for you and for every client you manage under your subscription.

This includes document capture across all submission methods, intelligent extraction and categorisation, bank feeds and bank statement extraction, supplier rules and auto-publish, approvals, expense claims, Vault, supplier statement reconciliation, and publishing to over 36 accounting software integrations.

Data Health & Insights add-on: The Data Health & Insights add-on is available on Practice Essentials. It adds automated data quality checks, client-level Insights, and intelligent Workflows for individual clients connected to Xero or QuickBooks Online.

Practice Advanced includes everything in Practice Essentials, plus a set of tools for managing and scaling your practice across your entire client base.

The clients list on Practice Advanced includes additional columns — client responsibility roles, bookkeeping settings, item delay, missing and requested paperwork, and deadline tracking — as well as the Starred and My clients tabs and bulk editing for bookkeeping settings.

Workflows let you standardise recurring client work — monthly bookkeeping, VAT return preparation, year-end accounts — as structured, repeatable processes your team can work through, complete, and sign off.

Without the Data Health & Insights add-on, workflow checks are manual. With the add-on, Dext connects to the client's Xero or QuickBooks Online account and runs checks automatically.
