Add client accounts in bulk using data from your accounting software.
Client accounts will also be integrated in the process of being created.
Note: this feature is currently only available for Xero, but will soon be available for other integrations.

Bulk Syncing Clients
To connect multiple clients to their accounting software at the same time:
- On your client list page go to Actions at the top of the page, then Client sync.

- Click Add clients next to Xero

- You will then be taken to your Xero account. Enter your Xero account details, If you are not already logged in.
- Click Continue with (x) organisations
- Select the clients you want to add to your Dext client list. If you are on an Advanced account you can assign them to a team. When ready, click Create accounts.
- The sync will then be complete and the clients will appear on your client list, and all the standard information will be pulled to Dext from their Xero account.
Managing A Synced Client’s Accounting Software Connection
You can manage a client’s connection to their accounting software by:
- Going to the client’s account
- Then to Business settings, and Connections
- Next to Dext, click Manage
- On the accounting software’s connection page you can manage the connection’s settings, reconnect, refresh or change the connection and disconnect.
Reconnecting Multiple Client’s Connections in Bulk
Reconnect multiple client’s connections in bulk. To do this:
- On your client list page go to Actions at the top of the page, then Client sync.
- Next to Xero, click Reconnect all
- You will then be taken to your Xero account. Enter your Xero account details, If you are not already logged in.
- Click Continue with (x) organisations
- The sync will then be complete and the clients will appear on your client list, and all the standard information will be pulled to Dext from their Xero account.
Reassigning Clients
You can reassign a client from a colleague to you in Dext, if you have access to a client in Xero.
To do this:
- On your client list page go to Actions at the top of the page, then Client sync.
- Next to Xero, click Reassign clients.
- You will then be taken to your Xero account. Enter your Xero account details, If you are not already logged in.
- Click Continue with (x) organisations
- Check the box next to the client you wish to reassign to yourself, then click Continue.
- You will see confirmation that the reassignment is complete and the client will appear in your client list.
