User settings allow you to manage your login details, security settings and notification preferences in Dext. These apply across all Dext accounts you're part of.
How to access User settings
Click Profile in the top-right corner.
Select User settings.
Personal details
Update your:
First name
Last name
Mobile number
Your CRN (Customer Reference Number) is also displayed here.
Login details
From Login details, you can:
View and confirm your login email
Change your login email
Merge logins (if you use multiple email addresses for Dext)
Security
The Security section controls how you log in and protect your account.
From here, you can:
Change your password
Select Change next to Password.

Set up passkeys
Passkeys let you log in using biometrics, a PIN, or a hardware security key instead of a password.
Select Add next to Passkeys.

Enable two-factor authentication (2FA)
You can enable:
Authenticator app (recommended)
Text message (SMS)
Email
Once enabled, you'll need to enter a verification code when logging in.

Connect Intuit Single Sign-On
If your account uses Intuit for authentication, you can connect it here.

Extract by Email
You have unique Extract by Email addresses for each business you're part of. These allow documents to be sent directly to Costs or Sales.
From here, you can:
View your personal Extract by Email addresses
Copy single-document and multiple-document addresses
Choose another business from the Business dropdown to view your addresses for that account (if you belong to more than one)
Selecting a different business here only changes which Extract by Email addresses are shown.

Preferred language
Timezone
Dext may automatically detect your timezone, which you can confirm or change at any time.
Bookkeeping email notifications
Control how often you receive general account emails, including:
Rejected item notifications
Security alerts
Processing summaries
Integration alerts (Fetch, Qonto, Bank feeds)
Auto-publishing alerts
Approval email notifications
Set how often you receive emails about:
Items awaiting approval
Rejected or cancelled items
Approved costs, sales, and expense claims
