You can use the Dext mobile app to:
Log in to your account
Switch between client or business accounts (under the same login)
Add and switch between different logins
Remove saved login details
The steps depend on whether you're switching accounts under the same login or switching between different login credentials.
Log in to the Dext mobile app
You can log in using:
The link in an invitation email or text message
Your existing username and password
Single sign-on (for example, Intuit credentials)
To log in:
Download the Dext mobile app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.
Open the app.
Enter your login details or use single sign-on.
Once logged in, you’ll land in your Costs inbox.
Switch between accounts (same login)
You will see an orange initial in the top-left corner of the screen if you are:
An accountant or bookkeeper with access to multiple client accounts
A business user who is part of multiple Dext accounts under the same email login
The initial represents the current account.
Note: If you are only part of one account under that login, you will not see this initial.
For accountants and bookkeepers (switch between clients)
Tap the orange initial in the top-left corner.
The Select client screen will appear.
Choose the client account you want to access.
The selected client’s name will appear at the top of the screen once switched.
For business users (switch between organisations)
If you are part of multiple business accounts under the same login:
Tap the orange initial in the top-left corner.
The Select organisation screen will appear.
Choose the business you want to access.
The selected organisation name will appear at the top of the screen.
Add and switch between different logins
If you manage Dext accounts that use different login credentials, you can save multiple logins in the app.
To add another login:
Tap More (bottom-right corner).
Tap Switch logins.
Tap Add login.
Enter the login details for the additional account.
Once added, all saved logins will appear on the Switch logins screen. The current login is marked with a green tick.
To switch logins:
Go to More > Switch logins.
Tap the login you want to use.
Remove a saved login
To remove a saved login from the mobile app:
Go to More.
Tap Switch logins.
Swipe left on the login you want to remove.
Tap Remove.
You can also:
Tap Log out to log out of the current login.
Tap Log out all to remove all saved logins from the device.
