Each user and account has a unique Extract by Email address for sending documents to Dext. You can find and edit your own address in Profile > User settings. Admin users can also edit another user's address from the Users page, or the account's address in Business settings.
Find and edit your own Extract by Email address
To find your Extract by Email address, go to Profile > User settings and open the Extract by Email section.
Go to Profile > User settings.
In Extract by Email, select the Business if you're in multiple accounts.
Your Single and Multiple addresses for Costs and Sales appear in this section.
To edit your address, update the field under Your email address for Extract by Email begins with. Dext automatically adds the correct domain.
Click outside the field to save your changes. If the name you choose is already taken, choose a different one.
Edit another user's Extract by Email address
Admin users can edit the Extract by Email address for other users they manage.
Go to Users in the sidebar.
Select Manage > Edit user details.
Update the Extract by Email field.
Move your cursor away from the field to save your changes.
Note: You need to be an Admin user to edit another user's Extract by Email address. Accountants and bookkeepers accessing a client account act as admins by default. For more on access levels, go to Roles and permissions
Edit an account's Extract by Email address
To edit the account-level Extract by Email address, go to Business settings > Extraction > Extract by email.
Go to Business settings in the sidebar.
Select Extraction, then open the Extract by email tab.
Update the field under Your email address for Extract by Email begins with. Dext automatically adds the correct domain.
Select outside the field to save your changes. If the name you choose is already taken, choose a different one.
