How to view and export bank transactions in Dext

View, search, filter, and export bank transactions in Dext from Bank Statement Extraction, Bank Feeds, and accounting software integrations.

Written by Alexander

The Bank > Transactions page shows all your bank transactions in one place, regardless of how they came in — uploaded bank statements, Bank Feeds via Plaid, or your accounting software bank accounts. From here you can search, filter, and export your transaction data.

Important: Only Admin users can access the Transactions page.

View your transactions

To view bank transactions in Dext, go to Bank > Transactions in the sidebar.

If you have multiple bank accounts, use the dropdown at the top to switch between them. Accounts from all sources appear here — manually added accounts (Bank Statement Extraction), Bank Feeds, and accounting software bank accounts.

Search and filter

You can find specific transactions using Advanced search or Filters.

Advanced search lets you search by:

  • Description

  • Amount

  • Date

Filters let you narrow the view by:

To customise which columns are visible, select the Table settings icon (⚙) and toggle columns on or off.

Request paperwork

From the Transactions page, you can send requests for receipts or invoices for transactions that don't have matching documentation — useful when you need supporting paperwork before reconciliation.

Export transactions

To export bank transactions from Dext, go to Bank > Transactions and choose one of the following:

  • Export all transactions: Select Export all and choose your preferred CSV format.

  • Export selected transactions: Tick the checkboxes next to the transactions you want to export, then select Export.
