You can cancel your Dext Business subscription from Business settings in your account. This article explains who can cancel, how to cancel, and what happens after cancellation.
Before you start
This article applies to Dext Business accounts.
Only users with the Business Admin role can cancel a subscription. If you can’t see the Subscription page, contact your account administrator.
If your accountant or bookkeeper pays for your Dext subscription, contact them to request cancellation.
If you are a Dext partner and want to cancel your subscription, contact your account manager.
If you purchased Dext through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you must cancel directly through the store. Cancellation cannot be completed from within Dext.
If you have an annual subscription, you must cancel at least 30 days before your renewal date. During the 30-day notice period, you will continue to have full access until the prepaid period ends.
Before cancelling
We recommend exporting your data before cancelling your subscription.
After you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of your prepaid period. During this time, you can continue to use Dext as usual.
Once your subscription expires:
You will no longer be able to use Dext features (such as document extraction)
You will still be able to access your account and download your data
Note: As outlined in our Terms and Conditions, Dext reserves the right to delete accounts after a subscription has expired.
Cancel your Dext subscription
To cancel your subscription:
Go to Business settings.
Select Subscription.
Open Billing Details.
Select Cancel subscription under Payment details.
Follow the on-screen steps to confirm.
Confirm your cancellation
After cancelling, return to the Subscription page to confirm the cancellation has been processed.
If successful, you will see a banner showing the account’s expiration date. No further charges will apply after this date.

The Cancel subscription button will not appear if a plan change has already been requested, such as a downgrade.
If you’ve requested a plan change and now want to cancel instead, contact the Dext support team.

The button becomes unavailable when fewer than 30 days remain before renewal on an annual subscription.
Because annual subscriptions require 30 days’ notice, cancellation cannot be processed once this window has passed.
