How to add a mileage claim using the mobile app

Add a mileage claim in the Dext mobile app by logging trips manually or using GPS mileage tracking. Follow step-by-step instructions to submit accurate claims.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Use mileage claims in the Dext mobile app to record business travel for company vehicles. Depending on how you prefer to work, you can either enter trip details manually or track journeys automatically using GPS.

This article explains when mileage claims are available and how to set them up correctly in the app.

Before you start

Mileage claim calculations are only available in certain regions. If your account is set to an unsupported region, the mileage claim feature will not appear in the mobile app.

Supported regions for mileage claims

Mileage claims are currently supported in the following regions:

  • Australia

  • Canada

  • France

  • United Kingdom

  • United States

Accounts set to other regions cannot access mileage claims. This ensures mileage rates and calculations remain region-specific and compliant.

If you would like support for additional countries, you can submit a request through UserVoice.

For more information on how mileage values are calculated, see How mileage rates are calculated.
