How to Reset Your Password

If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it via the Dext Web or Mobile App.

This article is relevant to the enhanced Dext experience. You can access the article for the legacy Dext experience here.


Web App

You can reset your password from the login page, by clicking the Forgot password? button, then entering your email when prompted.

You can also reset a password from within an account. To do this:

  1. Go to the Manage profile icon in the top right of the screen, then go to User settings.

  1. In the Security section, go to Password and click the Change button.

  1. In the Change password window, enter your current password then enter and confirm your new password and click Save.

Alternatively, any Account Administrator can reset your password for you by:

  1. Logging into the Web App.

  2. Selecting User in the sidebar.

  3. Clicking on the Manage button across from your name.

  4. Selecting Reset Password.

If an Administrator resets your password, you'll receive an email notification with a reset link and the name of the person who initiated the request.


Mobile App

To Change your password via the mobile app:

  1. Open the Dext mobile app. Log out of your account if you're still logged in.

  2. Press Log in and enter your email address.

  3. Then the Forgot Password? link.

  1. Enter your email address and we'll email you a link to allow you to securely reset your Dext password.
