How to update your Dext bookmark and saved passwords

Update your Dext bookmark and saved passwords to app.dext.com before 1 May 2026 to keep your Dext login experience seamless.

Dext's main web address is app.dext.com. If you've been logging in from another address (such as app.receipt-bank.com), you'll need to update your bookmark and saved passwords before 1 May 2026, when automatic redirects from legacy addresses take effect.

Note: Updating the web address in your saved Dext password allows your password manager to suggest your credentials on app.dext.com.

Why this matters

From 1 May 2026, any legacy Dext web addresses will automatically redirect to app.dext.com.

In most cases, this will be seamless - but your browser or password manager stores saved passwords against a specific web address. If that address changes, it won't know to offer your saved credentials at the new one.

Updating your Dext saved password entry's web address ahead of the redirect ensures you'll avoid this inconvenience.

This affects anyone who has ever saved their Dext password in a browser or password manager while logging in from an older address.

What you need to do

There are 2 things to do before 1 May 2026:

  1. Update your Dext bookmark to app.dext.com

  2. Move your saved Dext password to app.dext.com in your password manager

The steps for updating your saved password depend on which browser or password manager you use. Find yours in the sections below.

Note: You can update your Dext saved password's web address at any time, including after 1 May 2026.

Google Chrome

To update your saved Dext password in Chrome, log in from the correct address so Chrome can save it against app.dext.com.

  1. Go to app.dext.com and log in with your email and password.

  2. When Chrome prompts you to save your password, select Save.

If Chrome doesn't prompt you, go to Settings > Autofill and passwords > Google Password Manager and check that saving passwords is turned on.

If you don't remember your password, you can retrieve it from your old saved entry before logging in:

  1. Go to Settings > Autofill and passwords > Google Password Manager.

  2. Search for your old Dext address (for example, app.receipt-bank.com).

  3. Select the entry and select the eye icon to reveal your password, or select Copy password.

You can then use these credentials to log in at app.dext.com. Alternatively, you can reset your password from the Dext login page - see How to reset your password in Dext.

Microsoft Edge

To update your saved Dext password in Edge, log in from the correct address so Edge can save it against app.dext.com.

  1. Go to app.dext.com and log in with your email and password.

  2. When Edge prompts you to save your password, select Save.

If Edge doesn't prompt you, go to Settings > Passwords and check that offering to save passwords is turned on.

If you don't remember your password, you can retrieve it from your old saved entry before logging in:

  1. Go to Settings > Passwords.

Apple Passwords (iPhone, iPad, and Mac)

To update your saved Dext password in Apple Passwords, you'll edit the existing entry to point to the new address.

On iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open the Passwords app, or go to Settings > Passwords.

  2. Search for your old Dext address.

  3. Select the entry and select Edit.

  4. Update the website field to app.dext.com.

  5. Select Done.

On Mac:

  1. Open the Passwords app, or go to System Settings > Passwords.

  2. Search for your old Dext address.

  3. Select the entry and select Edit.

  4. Update the website field to app.dext.com.

  5. Select Save.

1Password

To update your saved Dext password in 1Password, follow 1Password's own guidance: Edit or delete saved items in 1Password.

Update the website field in your Dext login item to app.dext.com.

If you use a different password manager

Most password managers let you edit a saved login to update the website address. Look for an edit or pencil icon on your saved Dext entry and update the website field to app.dext.com.

If you're not sure how to do this, check your password manager's support documentation.

What happens after 1 May 2026

From 1 May 2026, visiting any legacy Dext address will automatically take you to app.dext.com. If you've updated your bookmark and saved password, nothing else changes - you can log in as normal.

If you haven't updated your saved password, your password manager won't auto-fill your credentials. You'll need to enter your password manually and re-save it when prompted.

Note: If you run into any login issues after 1 May 2026, make sure you're at app.dext.com and that your saved password is stored against that address.
