You can use a single email address to access multiple Dext business accounts. This allows you to log in once and switch between businesses using the organisation switcher.
Before you start
Dext accounts cannot be combined into one.
When you merge logins:
Business accounts remain completely separate
Documents and settings are not merged
Subscriptions remain independent
Merging only combines your login credentials, so you can access multiple separate businesses using one email address.
What is multi-account management?
Multi-account management allows you to:
Merge separate login credentials into one email
Access multiple businesses with one login
Switch between businesses using the organisation switcher
Your businesses remain separate at all times.
Verify your email before merging logins
To merge login credentials, the email address you want to keep must be verified.
If it is not verified:
Log in to Dext with the email address you want to keep.
Open the Profile menu (top right) and select User settings.
Select Resend confirmation email in the banner at the top of the page.
Open the email and select Confirm your email.
If you do not see a banner, your email is already verified.
Merge multiple logins into one email
If you already access different Dext business accounts using different email addresses, you can merge those login credentials.
Note: This does not merge the businesses themselves.
To merge your logins:
Log in using the email address you want to keep.
Go to Profile icon > User settings.
Select Merge logins.
Select Merge login details.
Enter the login details for the account you want to merge.
Confirm the merge.
When you confirm:
The secondary login credentials are deleted
Any SSO linked to the secondary login is removed
You retain access to all businesses under the primary email
No business data is changed or combined
After merging logins, you’ll use your primary email to access multiple separate Dext businesses.
Switch between businesses
After adding or merging accounts, you can switch between businesses at any time.
On web
Select the organisation switcher (top left).
Choose the business you want to access.
On mobile
Tap the orange initial in the top-left corner.
The Select organisation screen will appear.
Choose the business you want to access.

Invite an existing user to another business
If a colleague is already part of a Dext account, you can grant them access to another business by adding them as a user with the same email address. This allows them to access multiple businesses using one login.
To invite an existing user:
Go to Users in the sidebar.
Select Add a user.
Enter the user’s name and email address.
Select a role.
Send the invitation.
If the user already has a verified email address:
They’ll automatically gain access
The new business will appear in their organisation switcher
If their email is not verified:
They’ll remain a document owner until they accept the invitation
They must accept the invitation to gain full access
Note: Invitations expire after 1 week. You can resend invitations or reset passwords from the Manage dropdown.
Add a new business (creates a separate Dext account)
If you manage multiple businesses, you can create an additional Dext business account under your existing login.
To do this:
Select your Profile icon (top right).
Select Buy a plan for a new business.
Enter the business name and country.
Choose a subscription plan.
Confirm payment details.
Important:
Selecting Buy a plan for a new business creates a brand new, separate Dext account and requires purchasing a new subscription.
If you want to change the subscription for your current business, go to Business settings > Subscription.
