The Overview page is the first page you see when you log in to a Dext business account. It shows tasks that need your attention and a quick view of what's happening in your business. What you see depends on your role. For more on what each role can do, go to Roles and permissions in Dext.
What is the Overview page?
The Overview page is your entry point into Dext, not a full reporting page. It surfaces tasks you need to complete and gives you a quick view of your business activity. Select Overview in the sidebar to open this page at any time.
Tip: Select Give feedback in the banner at the top of the page to share what you think about the Overview page.
The To do section
The To do section lists tasks that need action, for business admins, user admins, and standard users. It has 2 parts:
Needs your attention: items that need action from you. This includes items sent to you for approval, and other items you have access to that still need action.
Waiting on others: items that are blocked because they're assigned to someone else.
Select an item in either list to open it.
The Business summary section
The Business summary section shows admin users a snapshot of business activity. Standard users don't see this section.
Select Current or Last complete, then choose Week, Month, or Quarter from the dropdown, to change the period shown.
Business summary shows 3 figures for the selected period:
Costs incurred: the total value and number of receipts, invoices, credit notes, and mileage claims dated in the period. This doesn't include items already in an expense claim.
Expense claims submitted: the total value of receipts included in expense claims submitted in the period, and the number of those expense claims. This doesn't include expense claims rejected in approvals.
Sales recorded: the total value and number of uploaded sales documents, and sales and deposit invoices created, dated in the period.
Under Costs incurred, select Suppliers, Categories, or Type to break the total down further.
The Recent submissions section
The Recent submissions section shows standard users their most recent submissions to Dext. Admin users don't see this section.
Select an item in the list to open it. Select View all to open your submission history.
Get the most out of Dext
The Get the most out of Dext section shows business admins and user admins their credit usage and any features they haven't tried yet. Standard users don't see this section.
Available credits left: usage and remaining credits for features such as line item extractions, bank statement extractions, supplier statement extractions, Vault storage, and AI Assist. Select View subscription to go to the Subscription page under Business settings, where you can view and manage your subscription.
Discover features: features you haven't used yet, such as Expense Claims, Supplier Statements, and Mileage Claims. Select a feature card to go to that feature's page in Dext.
Discover features for standard users
Standard users see a Discover features section instead of the full Get the most out of Dext section. It shows feature cards for tools you haven't used yet, such as Expense Claims, Mileage Claims, and the Mobile app.
Select a feature card to go to that feature's page in Dext.
