The Data Health insight gives you a practice-level summary of key metrics across all your Data Health clients. It covers average Health Scores, upcoming workflows, lock date status, directors loan accounts, and client transaction volumes — all in one place.
To access it, select Insights in the left navigation, then select Data Health.
Important: The Data Health insight requires the Data Health & Insights add-on and is available on the Practice Advanced plan.
Who can use this insight
The Data Health insight is available to practices on the Practice Advanced plan with the Data Health & Insights add-on. Practice Admins and Client Admins can access it by default. Standard users require the Access Practice Insights permission to be enabled in their colleague privileges.

The five widgets
The Data Health insight has five widgets, each showing a summary view on the main page. Select the button at the bottom of each widget to drill down for client-level detail.
Average Health Score
Average Health Score shows the average Health Score across all your Data Health clients, along with the month-on-month change.
Select View healthscore breakdown to see a table of all your Data Health clients with their individual Health Score, a sparkline chart showing Health performance over the past 30 days, and the change over last month. Select a client name to go directly to that client's account.
Workflows due within 7 days
Workflows due within 7 days shows a bar chart of your workflows grouped into three categories — Overdue, Due within 7 days, and Upcoming — and broken down by status: Not started, In progress, and In review. Use the Whole team toggle to switch between your own clients and all clients across the team.
Select View workflows to see the Workflows due table. Use the All Clients and My Clients tabs to filter the view. The table shows Workflows Name (select to open the workflow), Client Name, Account Assignee, Account Reviewer, Period Start, Period End, Due Date, Assigned To, Reviewer 1, Reviewer 2, Status, and Progress. Select View all Workflows to go to the Workflows list.
Directors loan accounts
Directors loan accounts shows a donut chart of your Data Health clients grouped by their DLA configuration status: not configured, configured but not overdrawn, and configured but overdrawn.
Select View directors loan statuses to see a table with Client Name (select to open the client account), DLA Configured, Dividends configured, Dividends declared, and Year end date.
Lock dates
Lock dates shows a bar chart of your Data Health clients grouped by how recent their lock date is: No lock date set, 12+ months, less than 12 months, less than 6 months, and less than 3 months.
Select View lock date activities to see a table with Client Name (select to open the client account), Accounting Software, Reporting Lock Date, Year end date, and Next Accounts Due.
Client transaction activity
Client transaction activity shows a stacked bar chart of total transactions across all your Data Health clients over the previous six months, broken down by type: Sales, Bills, Credits, Manual Journals, and Bank Transactions.
Select View Total Transactions to see the Total transactions table. Each client appears as a row, with columns grouped by month (most recent first) and broken down by Bank, Sales, Credit Note, Manual Journal, and Bill. Use the All transaction types dropdown to filter the table by a specific transaction type: Bank, Sales, Credit Note, Manual Journal, or Bill. Select a client name to go directly to that client's account.
