Using the Items to review report in Solo

Use the Items to review report in Solo to quickly identify and resolve errors before filing, with all issues displayed in one organised, date-ordered list.

Updated yesterday

Overview

The Items to review report in Solo helps you quickly find and fix entries that are not correctly categorised. These issues can affect the accuracy of your quarterly tax submission, so the report brings everything into one place for a final accuracy check before you file.

You’ll see this report in Reports > Items to review, and you may also access it from links displayed in the Tax report and Transaction summary when outstanding items need attention.

What the report shows

The report lists all entries across Costs, Sales, and Bank that contain an existing warning or error. These are the same alerts you already see in your workspaces; the report simply brings them together in one place.

Typical issues include:

  • A missing or incorrect category

  • A receipt total that doesn’t match the line item

  • Missing or incomplete information needed for tax accuracy

The list is ordered by date, making it easy to work through items in sequence.

Why this report matters

Before this update, you needed to check each workspace individually to find issues.

Now, the Items to review report centralises all outstanding actions, arranged by date, so you can:

  • Review accuracy in one place

  • Complete submissions faster

  • Avoid missed warnings that could affect compliance

  • Reduce time spent switching between workspaces

It acts as a final pre-submission check to support complete and accurate quarterly reporting.

How to use the Items to review report

1. Open the report

You can access it in two ways:

  • Go to Reports > Items to review.

  • Follow the alert at the top of the Tax report or Transaction summary, which appears when items require attention.

2. Review the list

You’ll see a table showing:

  • Date

  • Source (e.g., receipt, sales invoice)

  • Type

  • Supplier or customer

  • Income source

  • Category

  • Rental property (if relevant)

  • Amount

Each entry includes an icon where a warning or error is present.

3. Edit entries inline

You can correct data directly in the table, such as selecting the right category or updating details.

Once corrected, the item will remain on the list temporarily but will disappear after you refresh or move away from the page.

4. View images and open the full transaction

Select the image icon to preview documents or click through to the full transaction for more context. You can take any action here that you’d normally take in the relevant workspace.

When items are removed

After you update an entry and the issue is fully resolved, it will automatically be removed from the Items to review list once the page reloads. This helps you work through the report progressively, without losing track of what’s already been completed.

Summary

The Items to review report gives Solo users and partners a clear, centralised view of any issues that could impact a quarterly submission. By gathering all warnings in one place and allowing quick corrections, it streamlines compliance work and reduces time spent finding and fixing errors.
