You can download your documents from Dext as a PDF, CSV, or ZIP file. This makes it easy to share records, keep backups, or upload your financial data to an accounting platform.
Before you download
PDF exports have a 250-item limit. To stay within this limit, use advanced search and filters to refine your selection.
If you need to export more than 250 items, choose a ZIP export. ZIP files include items in their original format.
Where you can export items
From the Costs or Sales inbox
You can export items directly from the inbox:
To export selected items: use the checkboxes to choose what you need, then open Tools > Export.
To export everything in the inbox: leave all items unselected, open Tools, and choose Export all.
Note: Both options let you choose PDF, CSV, or ZIP formats. The 250-item limit applies to PDF exports.
From the Archive
Items can also be exported from the Archive:
Select specific documents and click Export, or
Choose Export all to download the entire Archive in one go.
Note: The same export formats and PDF limits apply here.
How to download items as a PDF
You can start a PDF export from either the Inbox or Archive. Once you open the export window, follow these steps:
Select the PDF tab.
Choose whether to move exported items to the Archive.
Click Export.
Dext will start generating your file and scan it for viruses. When the file is ready, click Download to save it.
