Connecting Dext to KashFlow lets you publish costs, sales, and expense claims directly to your KashFlow account. Once connected, see How to publish items to KashFlow from Dext for guidance on publishing settings.
Important: Only Admin users can connect Dext to accounting software. If you don't have access, contact your account administrator or accountant.
Connect Dext to KashFlow
To connect your accounts, you'll need to complete the steps in both Dext and KashFlow.
In Dext:
Go to Business settings > Connections.
Under Accounting software, select Connect.
Find KashFlow in the list and select Connect.
A summary of the steps to complete in KashFlow will appear. Keep this open and sign in to your KashFlow account in a new tab.
In KashFlow:
Select Apps from the top navigation, then select API Settings.
Check that Enable SOAP API is selected.
Check Enable AutoAuth to generate your AutoAuth key.
Make a note of the username shown on this page - you'll need to enter this in Dext.
Select Copy code to copy your AutoAuth key.
If you've made any changes on this page, save before returning to Dext.

Back in Dext:
Select the checkbox to confirm you've completed the steps in KashFlow, then select Connect software.
Enter your KashFlow username as shown in the API Settings page, your KashFlow password, and paste your AutoAuth key into the API key field.
Select Next and follow any remaining steps until you see a confirmation that the connection was successful.
Select Finish.
After connecting
Allow a few minutes for Dext to sync your KashFlow data. Dext will sync your:
Chart of Accounts
Suppliers
Customers
Tax rates
Projects
Bank accounts
Reconnect KashFlow
If you need to reconnect Dext and Kashflow:
Go to Business settings > Connections.
Select Manage next to KashFlow, then select Reconnect.
Follow the steps from the In KashFlow section onward.
