You can manage user in your account by suspending or removing them if needed.

Important: Account owner users are the first user added to an account and cannot be suspended or have their user privileges changed by any other user in the account. To do this to an account owner you must reach out to support.
You must be an admin user to remove a user. If you don’t see the ‘My Team’ menu, this would mean that you don’t have the required user privilege level. Reach out to your account administrator or your accountant/bookkeeper for assistance.
You have two options when removing a user from your account:
- Suspending a user: all of their submitted paperwork will remain in the Dext Prepare account. The suspended user will not be able to submit any new documents, or log in to Dext to view or edit their items.
- Removing a user: the user will be completely removed from your account, but all of their submitted paperwork will still remain in the Dext Prepare account. If you wish to have them in your account in the future you will need to create a new user for them again.

Suspend a User from your Partner Account
To suspend a user from your partner account:
- Click on My Team on the main menu.
- Click Manage next to the user you want to remove.
- Click Suspend User.
- Read through the summary of what suspending the user will do, then click Suspend.
Remove a User from your Partner Account
To remove a user from your partner account:
- Click on My Team on the main menu.
- Click Manage next to the user you want to remove.
- Click Remove User.
- Read through the summary of what suspending the user will do, then click Remove.
Suspend a User from your Client Account
To remove a user from your client account:
- Go to Users in the sidebar.
- Click Manage next to the user you want to remove.
- Click Suspend User.
- Read through the summary of what suspending the user will do, then click Suspend.
Enable a Suspended User
View users who have previously been suspended by going to the Suspended users or SuspendedColleagues tab of the Users or My Team page.
If you want to restore a user:
- Click the Manage button next to the user.
- Then Enable User.
