Using Vault: Upgrade Storage and AI Credits

Easily upgrade your Vault in Dext to get more AI credits and storage. Learn how to adjust your subscription, manage usage, and stay on top of AI-powered features.

With Vault, you can purchase additional storage and AI credits as part of your Dext Business subscription. This will allow you to store and organise more important documents all in one place.

Every Dext plan includes a standard free allowance of 5 AI credits per month and 100 MB of storage.

One AI credit equals one processed document - this includes extracting the summary, smart tags, file name, and due date from files uploaded to Vault. Without an AI credit, this information won’t be extracted automatically.

How to Upgrade Your Vault Plan

When you reach your storage or AI credits limit, Dext will show a message prompting you to upgrade.

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to Business settings > Subscription

  2. Go to the Vault section and click Change plan

3. Dext will suggest an upgrade based on your previous usage.

  • You can accept this recommendation or select a different number of bundles.

  • Each bundle includes 50 AI credits per month and 1 GB of storage.

4. Click Review upgrade

5. Select Upgrade to confirm your purchase. The cost of your upgrade will be applied starting from your next billing date.

You will get a confirmation once the upgrade gets applied.

Note: If you reach your AI credit limit, you’ll still be able to upload documents, but AI-powered features such as summaries, smart tags, automatic extraction of file names, and due dates will be unavailable.
